Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This policy covers the Bluestone add-in for Autodesk Revit ("the add-in") and the website bluestonebim.com ("the website"), both provided by Bluestone BIM, Melbourne, Australia.
Short version
The add-in does not collect, send or store any personal data or project data outside your own computer. Everything it reads and writes stays in your Revit model and the Excel files you choose.
The add-in
- What it reads: the Revit model that is open, Revit family libraries on your computer, and Excel files you select.
- What it writes: types and parameters in your Revit model, Excel files you choose to export to, and small settings files (such as column mappings) saved on your computer or inside your Revit project, and an error log (%LocalAppData%\Bluestone\Logs) that is only written when a tool fails. The log stays on your computer; you can choose to email it to us when asking for support.
- Network: the add-in does not connect to the internet. It does not send usage statistics, analytics, crash reports or any model data to us or to any third party.
- Accounts: the add-in does not ask for a login and does not collect names, email addresses or licence details.
The website and downloads
- The website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts.
- The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. See Google's privacy policy.
- Installer downloads are served by GitHub, which counts downloads. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- If you install the add-in through the Autodesk App Store, Autodesk's own privacy policy applies to that store.
These third parties provide their own data protection under their published policies. We do not receive personal data from them beyond aggregate download counts.
If you email us at info@bluestonebim.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you and to improve the add-in. We do not share it, sell it or add you to a mailing list. We delete support emails on request, and otherwise within 24 months.
Your choices
Because the add-in keeps no data about you, there is nothing to revoke inside it. To remove the add-in, uninstall it from Windows Settings → Apps. To ask us to delete any email correspondence, write to info@bluestonebim.com and we will do so within 30 days.
Changes
If a future version of the add-in starts collecting any data (for example, licence checks for a paid version), we will update this page before that version is released and describe exactly what is collected.
